When I was very young kid my mother bought the first two books in classic primary school book catalogues I read the first two books of The unicorn chronicles and fell in love with the cover, the heroine's and hidden realm of magic filled with magical creatures and unicorns, years later bought book 3. After years of searching for this final conclusion of Bruce Coville's The Unicorn Chronicles, finally found this book as an adult, it was well priced for a hardback and was surprised to learn that the book I purchased was from was the very the same seller I previously bought Bella Sara # 11: Amia and the Ice gems from. I was so happy to buy a copy, however Amazon's additional cost for handling and care is a tad too expensive for my liking. :(
It arrived two weeks ago and left was on the doorstep. ( I don't blame seller) I can understand it would be important for inspectors to check the package and mark the box with a signature however it does not mean it is okay to sign their name "Daniel" on the pamphlet inside the hardcover is a bit overboard. but apart from that, the hardcover was very beautiful and incredible amount of pages, and I look forward to reading it very soon. I haven't read it yet, but I am sure that I will love it, or at least like it. I have been waiting years to get this, and then the price was too high for a long time to justify buying it. Then I managed to snag one that only cost $16! I was so happy, and now I finally have all of them in my collection. They were a big part of my childhood, and so I love that I can now finish out the series, instead of just finishing 3 quarters of it.

Awesome series although terribly overpriced in the market. I would never go through the expense again that this series cost me.
I've always been a huge fan of unicorns and fantasy. But Bruce Coville's books helped me to see them in a new light. Oh, man, these books are simply incredible (someone's got to film them and apply them to the big screen); I can hardly find words to describe the thrills they gave me, the joys and heartaches. I was practically dying (almost literally) to know how it all ended. I all but pounced on the last book when it finally came out. I won't spoil it for the rest of you who have yet to read it, but I promise you won't be disappointed. For those of you who haven't read "The Unicorn Chronicles" at all, I strongly recommend you give it a try. I know a good book when I see one, and I can tell you these books are very, very good.
Loved this series. I was sorry to have it end. Coville wrote a well thought out series with the last two books being extremely well wound up. I would love to see the series in a well made movie series.
I have read the other reviews and they are good about describing this book. But you have to remeber that this is a Childrens book. I started reading this when I was in Middle school and from that day that I finished it I have waited for this last book to be Written. (sometimes more impatient than others)

I still think of this book like I was that 14 year old girl. I Love this book. Things are differnt now than when I was that young but I read this and take myself to Luster, where things are different and you fight for whats right. As an adult there are questions to be answered about why they put this character in here or why did he write this it was pointless. For me everything ment something simply because its a world that doesnt have to have its people be self centered.

The book itself is awesome. It ends without any loose ends. Yes there is the questions that start going like what happens now but your heart is at peace with how it ends. You cry, you laugh and you breath a sigh of relief when its over. The series is great and I look forward to reading it to my future kids for them to enjoy it. (even if they dont have to wait as long as I did)

I used to be a big fan of this series. When I was a kid, I had been heartbroken when I couldn't find any more books--in the same series--after book 2. But then, years later, I found the 3rd book at a used bookstore. I had been excited--utterly elated--at my find, and so began my search to find the last book in the series.

One can find the last book on --but each and every copy is listed at exorbitant prices for, in some cases, an old used library book. Highway robbery! It is utterly ridiculous! And so, even though I prefer the written word, I thought that it would be better to have the audio book than nothing at all. And oh how wrong I was!

In my opinion, this audio book has been poorly done. There are too many different voice actors--who have over-dramatized their parts. I only listened to about 10 minutes of it--I can't stand it any longer!! My desire to read this book has died. I should care.. I can easily imagine kid!me shaking her head at my current lack of patience... but I am an adult now, who doesn't have the time to deal with stuff that is of poor quality--and if I don't enjoy it, why should I spend time on it when there are things that are of more importance??

One star given because Mr. Bruce Coville is a good writer, who had enriched my childhood. I do have many fond memories of his older books. ...Just avoid the audio books.
